Cinven sells Tractel to Alimak Group AB

Tractel continues its growth journey under new ownership

Cinven, the international private equity firm that has owned Tractel since 2015, has today announced that they have agreed to sell Tractel to Alimak Group AB, a world-leading provider of vertical access solutions for professional use, listed on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm.

The acquisition will create a highly profitable global provider of safe and sustainable premium height solutions. The acquisition adds a new vertical into Alimak Group, Height Safety & Productivity Tools, strengthening the solution portfolios within the Construction, Facade Access and Wind division as well as significantly increasing the potential for the service business.

Philippe Gastineau, CEO of Tractel, said:

“Cinven has provided significant support to Tractel over the last few years, most notably with two considerable acquisitions which have allowed us to expand substantially into our core markets. With increased investment in the development and innovation of our products, we now provide best-in-class solutions to our customers and clients and in turn, have become a world-leader in the working-at-height solutions market. We look forward to the next chapter of our growth journey as part of the Alimak Group."

“During the completion of the sale process, we will continue to provide the excellent customer service our customers, partners and staff expect. Upon completion, we will provide an update on the exciting plans for the future as we join our new colleagues at Alimak Group.”

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory and antitrust approvals.
